There are many reasons to specifically buy products, that were grown organically by small farmer-families.

The most important one:
They taste delicious.

But what counts the most for the disadvantaged producers, is that their laborious farm-work allows them to lead a dignified life. Thus it is important, that they receive a fair price for their products. Because only then can they permanently follow the way of organic production.

Meanwhile, an almost merciless competition exists in the area of organic goods, where more and more of the large global players take hold. Again especially the small farmer-families, that need Fair Trading conditions the most, are left behind.

Many small and medium-sized retailers, a number of them pioneers in the area of organic food as well as Fair Trade, are threatened for their existence. They neither possess the market-force nor the advertisement-budget to keep up with the large companies.

This is why our initiative Trust Organic Small Farmers wants to go back a bit to the roots of an idea, that has lost none of its actuality.
